Гриб Трихаптум биформе - это вид грибов семейства Гименохетовые. Встречается в Санкт-Петербурге и Ленинградской области, а также в северо-западной части России. Это дереворазрушающий гриб, который растёт на мёртвой древесине, чаще всего на осине или берёзе. Плодоносит с июня по октябрь, образуя неправильной формы плодовые тела бледно-коричневого или бежевого цвета.
